Coronary Calcium Scans Are Offered in Bedford, Concord, Derry & Raymond NH. In honor Heart Health Month, we are offering a discount of $50 during the month of February.

A Coronary Artery Calcium Score measures the amount of calcium in the walls of the heart’s arteries. Deposits of calcium in the arteries are a sign that there may be a buildup of plaque. This plaque can harden and narrow the arteries causing a heart attack or stroke. The scan tells you how much calcified plaque is in your heart’s arteries and will help you and your doctor better understand your risk for coronary artery disease before you even have any signs or symptoms. This scan is non-invasive and uses high-speed CT imaging technology to take multiple pictures of your heart to check for calcium deposits and how much.

Consider talking to your doctor about having a Coronary Artery Calcium Score if one or more risk factors apply to you.

  • Family history of heart disease
  • High levels of cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Smoking
  • Lack of physical activity
  • Diabetes

Every 29 seconds, an American suffers a heart attack, and 50% of men and 64% of women who die suddenly of heart disease have no previous symptoms¹. Your CACS is a valuable indicator to understand the health of your heart.
